What’s been happening?

Posted in News on July 19th, 2011 by admin – Comments Off

What have I been up to in the last few months? Well firstly I got married and went on honeymoon so that was brilliant! It has understandably been a quieter June/July than normal on the sound front.

I have been busy though! I have been working on a variety of projects with some fantastic people, I have done some more web virals for Maris and worked on some very funny sketches with David Armand. Here are some previews of a selection of those projects:

Keen City Productions – Harper Collins Web Virals

Jack Morton – Ben Howard Live Nokia N8 project

Ten Glorious Seconds – Watch online now

Posted in News on February 25th, 2011 by admin – 1 Comment

A short film that I recorded location sound for Ten Glorious Seconds has made it to the big screen. You can watch it on the website www.tengloriousseconds.com

Ten Glorious Seconds features Emmy-Award winning actor David Suchet (Hercule Poirot in the BAFTA-winning TV series Agatha Christie’s Poirot), together with veteran British actors Paul Collard and Gabrielle Hamilton.

The film is a short drama about Albert. Living in his care room, he’s in the late stages of Alzheimer’s, and his use of language has been lost. His wife Josie is aware that time is running out for them and is desperate to connect again.

Albert doesn’t know her anymore. Yet he can still receive and return emotional signals. And although what Josie does and says seems not to have an obvious impact; her presence and support triggers a blazing search in Albert’s memory for a connection.

Ten Glorious Seconds is directed by Simon Pitts and written by Carol Younghusband.
There is more information about this film in my previous blog: www.simonbatchelar.co.uk/ten-glorious-seconds/
