I recently did a shoot for a short film called ‘Ten Glorious Seconds’ by Carol Younghusband. The film is raising awareness for  people with Alzheimer’s and how it affects their lives.

The film was shot on location in at several exterior locations in Hampshire and the final scenes were shot on location in a care home in Malvern. We shot the exteriors on 5D and the interiors on RED.

The Director was Simon Pitts, the Producer was Carol Younghusband, the DOP was Graeme Dunne, the 1st AD was Henry Sheldon the Gaffer was Mat Hale.

The cast was Paul Collard as Alfred and Gabrielle Hamilton as Josie.

I recently did a shoot for a short film called Two people In A Room by Steve Coe.

The film was shot on location in a flat in Holborn, London. We shot on super 16 film and shot the first scene of the film as one continuos shot using Steadiam.

The Director was Rocky Pallidino, the Producer was Rodolfo Coloma, the DOP was ALex Ryle, the Steadicam operator was Thomas English.

The cast was Steve Coe as Dan and Tova Leigh as Jane.

I recently did a shoot for a short film called Lucky Duck. It was written and Directed by Colin Elliott a masters degree student at Columbia University New York.

The film was shot on location in Stow, Ohio. It was an amazing experience to work with a dedicated cast and crew on a unique project. It was great to work with the duckings as well, all 22 of them!

The Director and writer was Colin Elliott , the Producer was Andrew Hauser , 1st AD was Mike Toscano, the DOP was Ben Salley, the Co-Producers were Oliver Newman & Rafael Lessa,

After the success of Isolation over the past year and the well recieved live sound track performance at the Roundhouse earlier in the year Director Luke Seomore, and musicians Michael Garrad and David Stephens have decided to take the film on tour. The UK tour starts on the 14th in Greenwich and I am doing the live mix in the cinema for each night. So if we’re coming to a town near you then do come down and see what Little White Lies said was “One of the best documentaries I have seen in a long while.”

UPDATE: here are some photos that I took on tour.

The series Inside Natures Giants that I tracklaid, folyed and recorded VO for various episodes won a BAFTA last night in the 2010 BAFTA awards. It won the Specialist Factual BAFTA.

There were a lot of sound effects and Foley used in the mix of this series and it was great fun working on it. One of my favourite episodes was crocodile, it took a lot of work but the end result was very impressive. It’s shown in the video below.

I recently did a shoot for a short film called The Tyrants Cup.

The film was shot on location in Hampstead Norreys. We shot outside on the playing field and in the woods and an obstacle course was constructed especially for the shot. We shot on 5D cameras and used a jib arm to give a sports coverage feel to the filming.

The Directors and Producers were James Hammond & Nick Goulden, 1st AD was Ben Hopwood, the DOP was Paul Mackay.

I recently did a shoot for a short film called Siberia by Director Ross McElwain.

The film was shot on location in Peckham, South London in a car park. It was a great location and presented some chalenges for sound recording because of the passing trains!

The Director was Ross McElwain, the Producer was Steph Seabrook, 1st AD was Alex Kendall, the DOP was Annika Summerson.

I recently did a shoot for ‘Halftime’ a film by Robert Powell. It was filmed in association with Big Talk Productions.

It was filmed on location at Royal Holloway University, Egham. The director was Andrew Laas, the producer was James Davidson, the writer was Robert Powell, the DOP was Charles Thompson.

The cast was: Blake Harrison as Danny, Ian Burfield as Manager, Chris Gazzard as Jamie, Tom Lorcan as Tomo, Morrison Thomas as Mo, Duaine Samuels as Steve, Ty Bankinson as Chris, Joe Bor as Nigel, Matthew Pitts as Rob, Andy Sheperd as Deano.

I recently did location sound on a shoot for ‘EXIT’ a film by Daniel Zimbler.

It was filmed on location at Layer Marney Tower, Colchester. The Director and Writer was Daniel Zimbler, the 1st Ad was Paul Desira, the Producer was Andrew Hauser, the DOP was Adam Etherington.

The cast was: Julian Glover as Geeles, Ed Coleman as Todman, Christopher Brandon as Jake, Helena Johnson as Jessamy, Maggie Robinson as Mrs Robinson, Eddie Mcnee as Mr Robinson, Keith Hill as John Pearse.

It was a really good shoot and I will post a link to the finished film once it has finished being edited and mixed.

I went to the Live Soundtrack Performance of Isolation at The Roundhouse, as part of the London Short Film Festival. I did the mix for the film so was very interesting to see the soundtrack being performed alongside my mix. I worked with Luke Seomore to produce a mix for them to play along to, and I was very impressed with the result. It was a very good performance from Luke and the band as well as being my first chance to see the film on the big screen. Originally performed at Branchage Festival in Jersey last year it was great to see the film being screened in London.
